Every business has work that is repetitive, high-volume and rule-based: answering the same calls, chasing the same follow-ups, copying the same data between systems. That work is where AI and automation pay back fastest. Not by replacing your team, but by giving them their day back.
AI calling agents
An AI calling agent holds real phone conversations on your number. For UK businesses that rely on the phone, it is usually the automation with the quickest return, because every call it catches was a call you were going to miss.
- Missed and out-of-hours calls. Every call answered, at lunch, in the evening and at weekends.
- AI lead qualification. Calls new enquiries within minutes, asks your qualifying questions and books the good ones into a salesperson’s diary.
- Automated follow-up calls. Quote follow-ups, appointment reminders, rescheduling and renewals for people who already know you.
- Routine enquiries. Opening hours, booking changes, order or job status, answered from your own systems.
- Clean handoff. Transfers to the right person with a summary whenever the caller needs a human.

Workflow automation
- Data between systems. Orders into accounts, form submissions into the CRM, stock updates to your store.
- Document and data extraction. Invoices, purchase orders and PDFs read and filed without typing.
- Follow-up sequences. E-mail and WhatsApp reminders triggered by what a customer did, or did not do.
- Reporting. The weekly spreadsheet someone builds by hand, generated automatically.
- AI chat and support agents that answer the questions your team answers on repeat, from your approved content.

Built for UK rules
- PECR. Outbound marketing calls only to contacts with specific prior consent, TPS and CTPS screening for live calls, and caller ID on every call.
- Disclosure. The agent says it is an automated assistant and offers a person at any point.
- UK GDPR. Call recordings and transcripts with clear notice, short retention, restricted access and UK-region hosting.
- Guardrails. Prices, availability and account details come from your systems, never from the model’s memory. No regulated advice.
Typical pricing
| Scope | Typical cost | Time to live |
|---|---|---|
| Automation between two systems | £650–£2,500 | 3–10 days |
| AI agent: chat or voice | £2,500–£10,000 | 2–4 weeks |
| Voice usage (telephony, speech and model) | About $0.06–$0.20 per minute | Ongoing |
Indicative ranges, not a quote. Usage prices keep falling, so we price usage separately from the build.
Is it right for you?
AI automation is usually worth it if you miss calls, leads wait hours for a callback, or staff spend a large part of the day on the same few tasks. It is not worth it for low-volume work, long consultative conversations or anything that needs professional judgement. We will tell you which side of the line you are on.
Automation works best on top of good systems. If your leads live in inboxes and spreadsheets, start with CRM development or custom business software. Law firms can see our private AI assistant for law firms.
